Declining metabolism is not a myth! When you get older, your body doesn’t tolerate the same amount of food than when you were younger. So if you don’t want to put some weight on, you will have to reduce your calorie intake. Statistics show only 3 sets of calorie allowance for men whereas women have 4 stages of calorie allowance. It means my dear lifters from 20 to 40 years old that you can keep eating the same amount of food while women have to change their calorie intake habits after 25. However, I have a good news for you – active people, and it is your case if you are reading this, can add an extra 200 to 600 calories on the top of this (women or men).
But don’t forget, the key is to eat HEALTHY!
