Triceps, THREE heads right? not for everybody…

Most of you know that the triceps muscle makes up 2/3 of your arm explaining why you should focus your training on your triceps rather than your biceps to have big arms. The etymology of the word is meaningful tri –three and ceps from kaput –head – which means that the muscle has three separate heads: long, lateral and medial. However, it is funny to note that many mammals such as dogs or pigs have a fourth head. A fourth head has also been found on a cadaver but it seems to be very rare. Maybe this is the reason why some lads have crazy arms? – it would have nothing to do with genetics but a hidden muscle…
